An excellent book which provides clear instructions on the optimal push up form to build a bigger chest. I had been doing bench press for 6 months without effectively activating my chest muscles (and therefore only generating small chest muscle growth). After using the push up technique instructed by the author for one week, I have gained more development in my chest and triceps than 2 months of bench press. This guy has the body to back up his technique. For a guy serious about building a chest, spending $3 on this book will be the best return on investment you could hope for.
I learned about Mr. Arvanitakis via an article by The Art of Manliness. After the article I downloaded his free ebook and now have purchased this one. I've been doing push-ups for a long time and never understood why I wasn't getting results: now I know.The information Mr. Arvanitakis gives makes sense, breaks down the mechanics of doing good and effective exercise, and most of all, IT WORKS. I've been at it about four weeks now and have seen results I've never experienced before during my on again/off again attempts at finding a pushup regimen.Get this book. You will have to relearn some things but it will be worth it.

I've been doing pushups for many years and would of never thought that just a few changes in technique could make such a difference. Just adding them to the standard position feels like I've added 40 pounds to my back. I look forward to the results and have already started to see a major difference. Really makes me think about the true credentials of a lot of the other fitness experts out there. Why have I never heard of any of these changes before. This guy really knows his stuff.
Easy ready, very short but to the point. If you are looking for a book that details push up technique and various push up styles, this is not it. I am a trainer so there was nothing here that i did not know however it does bring it all together. We are all guilty of slacking here and there and Anthony does make a very clear point - tension rules. As anything in live you must actually do it, willing is not enough. I tried all his tips on one of my victims during a push up and pull up session, and although we cut the usual reps to half, the difference was amazing. I now do push ups only this way.
I liked that it was short and concise, I've been doing push-ups for years and was at a point of doing 10 sets of 30 reps which was time consuming.Doing what is taught in this book I was barely able to do 6 sets of 15, a real eye opener. And I feel more of a pump doing it the way the book tells you!I Would Highly Recommend this book
This is an excellent primer on the push up. All real training goes back to the basics. Don't mistake bodybuilding books which focus on the basics to be for beginners. Too many people try to for progress doing the exercise incorrectly. And in physical training, form is everything. It is important to review your form even if you have been exercising for years. Probably even more important given the bad habits you can acquire.The negative for me is that there are a variety of different push up positions which focus on different areas of the pectorals. I wish he would have reviewed some of them.
